Printed on newsprint this 24 page publication presents a photographic essay entitled Hyper-Saturation. This series defies the idea of photography as a 'portrayal of reality'. Views are presented which cannot occur naturally. The coloured flash renders a hyper-saturated foreground whilst the conventional tones of the background offer the viewer a glimpse of normality within the photographs. Influenced by photographers such as Benoit Paille, Elsa Bleda and Isabella Stahl, the emphasis of this work is to abstract from the mundane of everyday life.
The publication is 24 pages in length, measures 380mm x 289mm and is printed on 55gsm newsprint. It contains 16 colour images as well as text providing an insight into the project.
