A series of images of Venice, taken over a two-day period during the golden hour, on the last week on the Venice Biennale. The series aims to look past the clichéd images often associated with Venice, gondola’s, The Grand Canal at sunset and gelato holding tourists on St. Marks Square. Instead, the images focus on the contrast between the timeless quality of the cities ancient and unique architecture, with the transience of the hundreds of thousands of tourists who pass through each year. Taken after dusk and before the darkness of night takes hold, the series offers an ethereal and dystopian perspective on one of the worlds most photographed cities.
